Sugar Cookie Recipe:

2 cups of softened salted butter

2 -3 cups of Sugar ( depending on how sweet you like your cookies)

2 eggs

2 tsp of vanilla extract

2 tsp of almond extract

4 tsp of baking powder

6 cups of All-Purpose flour

Add the butter and sugar to your mixing bowl. Mix it completely. Don’t overtax.

Add vanilla, almond extract and eggs until mixed.

Add baking powder

Mix in the flour a little bit at a time. ( I mixed it in 1 1/2-2 cups at a time)

Your dough should be firm enough to lay out on your surface and cut with your cookie cutter.

Add to your baking sheet

Bake at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes. ( Don’t over bake)

Cream Cheese Frosting:

8 oz. of Cream Cheese

1 stick of salted butter ( softened)

3 cups of powdered sugar

2 tsp of vanilla extract

Mix together butter and cream cheese . Slowly add in powdered sugar and vanilla. Then whip on high until you reach a smooth and creamy consistency.

** The more you whip the frosting , the more lighter and fluffier it becomes.

This is my staple sugar cookie recipe. I hope you enjoy.

What are your plans for Easter?

Until Next time,

xo Shelly
